Chairman
A professor of comparative jurisprudence at the Higher Institute of Judiciary at Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, he holds a Ph.D. with first-class honors in comparative jurisprudence from the same institution, obtained in 1422 AH. He is a member of the Saudi Fiqh Association and the Saudi Judicial Scientific Society, as well as the chairman and member of several arbitration panels in commercial disputes. Dr. Al Shubaily has supervised and discussed numerous master’s and doctoral theses and has published several books and research papers, including Capital Protection, Investment Services and Their Rulings in Islamic Jurisprudence, The Repurchase Agreement (Repo and Reverse Repo), Financial Leasing, and others.
Committee objectives
Clarify legal rulings on Tamara’s transactions and operations, and review contracts and agreements to ensure they align with Sharia principles.
Guide the creation and refinement of new products, ensuring they adhere to Sharia compliance throughout the development process.
Oversee Tamara’s adherence to Sharia principles in all activities and products, and recommend measures for maintaining compliance.
Offer Sharia-related advice to key stakeholders, including legal advisors and external auditors, regarding compliance issues in Tamara’s operations.
